Last Week in Laker Sports – Oct. 21

It was yet another busy week for Laker Fall Sports last week!

The Mighty Laker Football team traveled to Butler County High School to take on the Bears.  In a landslide victory the Lakers beat the Bears 50-14. Dylan Bland led the team on offense with 209 yards rushing, while C.J. Vonfumetti had 1 interception returned for 29 yards on defense. The Lakers travel to Allen County-Scottsville this Friday night to take on the Patriots.

The Lady Laker Volleyball team hosted Casey County on Tuesday winning 3-1. They then traveled to Monroe County, beating the Lady Falcons 2-1.  The Lady Lakers host Metcalfe county tomorrow night in the first round of the District Tournament.

The Cross County Traveled to Barren County to compete in the Barren County Invitational.  The Lakers placed 2nd overall with Justin Sterns coming in 3rd and Tyler Lulek finishing 4th.  The Lakers travel to Monticello on Saturday to compete in the KHSAA Region 5 Class AA.  The meet will be held at Cave Lake Park and be hosted by Wayne County.

The Mighty Laker Bowling team traveled to Campbellsville to compete in their first contest of the season at the Taylor County Baker Breakout. They placed 5th overall with Zack Kean and Dylan Stringer both bowling a 190. They travel to Danville to compete in the Danville Tournament Series tomorrow.
