A Goodbye to Our Senior Class of 2019

Senior Members of the Staff 2018-19

When students begin their Freshman year of High School, they feel as if graduation will never come.  Everyone says it flies by, however it is hard to believe until it becomes reality.  Tonight, over 200 RCHS Seniors said goodbye to their school home of the last four years:  the place where they first experienced true Laker pride, learned the importance of hard work, and spent many hours of their lives.

During the commencement ceremony this evening, Senior Class President Dana Watts addressed her classmates, as did Brannon Lawson, Vice President.  The Laker Concert Band performed “With You” by Ben Lee, and the talented senior vocalist Kelsey McFarland sang “Whenever You Remember” by Carrie Underwood.

Although these seniors will be missed, RCHS wishes you the best of luck in your future endeavors.  Congratulations to Russell County High School’s Class of 2019!  We hope that you will “Take pride in how far you have come and have faith in how far you can go.” -Michael Josephson
